Melyssa attended York University and studied forensic psychology, Until music director Little X discovered Melyssa at a Toronto nightclub where she worked as a barmaid and he helped her launch her modeling career. Melyssa has been in several music videos, magazines such as XXL and King Magazine and television and film appearances. In March 2004, she hosted BET's How I'm Livin' series, and is currently the host of BET's lifestyle show entitled BET Style.
